Overview
Fibre Optic (FO) Testing
Our certified engineers perform rigorous testing on both single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cores. Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) traces are conducted on each fiber to assess its condition, measuring losses and length at specified wavelengths to ensure seamless communication and data transmission.

Umbilical Flushing & Pressure Testing
Forza offers a complete testing package for umbilical hydraulic conduits, whether they involve thermoplastic hoses or steel tubes. Our services include:
✔ Flushing: A contamination management process that removes debris from umbilical fluids by circulating fluid at a calculated flow rate through specialized filters, achieving the required cleanliness specification:
- Hydraulic fluid: SAE AS 4059 Class 6 B-F
- Chemical fluids: SAE AS 4059 Class 8 B-F
✔ Pressure Testing: Our experienced professionals conduct rigorous pressure tests on umbilical hoses or steel tube lines both onshore and offshore, ensuring system integrity under high-pressure conditions.
✔ Additional Services: We also provide purging, filling, and continuity testing to maintain system reliability.
Wireless Monitoring
Forza utilizes state-of-the-art wireless monitoring systems for both pressure and CR tests. Our advanced technology integrates pressure transducers and wireless transmitters to relay real-time data at preset sampling frequencies. The data is received on laptops or standalone monitors, providing cost-effective monitoring of umbilical integrity—especially in dynamic conditions such as laying operations.

Power Cable Electrical Testing
Forza provides comprehensive electrical testing for power cables, both on new installations and existing umbilicals, at all stages of pre-commissioning or post-installation activities. Our tests include:
✔ Conductance Resistance (CR): Ensures continuity throughout the looped umbilical quads and determines cable resistance.
✔ Insulation Resistance (IR): Measures insulation quality on individual or looped cables.
✔ Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR): Identifies faults in cables, pinpoints fault locations, and confirms cable length.
✔ Hipot/VLF Tests: Verifies the integrity of high-voltage AC core insulation, detecting short circuits or weak components that may compromise electrical safety.
All test results are carefully analyzed and compared against Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) data from cable OEMs.
